Frances Balter nee Levy, 96, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Sharon (Harvey) Kellman and Micki (Mark) Iris; cherished grandmother of Meredith Kellman, Jennifer Kellman, Faith (Frank) Giambattista, Ariel (Julia) Iris and the late David Joel Iris; adored great grandmother of Lily and Emily Russ, Jason and Jack Miesegaes, and Hope Giambattista and Daniel, Abigail and Jacob Iris; dear sister of Marilyn (the late Howard) Usen and the late Arthur (the late Ida) Levy; treasured aunt, cousin and friend of many. Frances was a dedicated and proud school teacher for Chicago Public Schools, teaching at Stewart and Waters Schools for many years. She was an accomplished pianist. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Chapel service Wednesday 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
